My name is Rick Spurgeon, I am based in the UK and throughout my life I have lived in the English midlands. Originally in Coventry, where I was born and since 1980, near Northampton.

Upon retirement in 2016 I found I had time to further my studies of Photography, by embarking on a BA Hons Photography course at The University of Northampton, and graduated in 2019.

My objective, in my images, is to produce work that meets with my own and my viewer’s approval. I want my images to accurately reflect my motivation, the location and what is taking place. My Images are based upon a combination of landscape, documentary and engineering themes, which are intended to possess a narrative quality.

For me, photography is a very personal activity and the images that I shoot are a reflection of special locations and places that mean a lot to me.
