A remarkable West facing beach in North Wales that has excellent views of Snowdon and The Lleyn Peninsula. In the right conditions stunning sunsets can be viewed here, with first-class photographic opportunities. Llandanwg has the ability to be different every time that you visit, depending on the time of year, state of the tide, cloud cover and visibility. Llandanwg is also frequently visited by dolphin pods.
The images below are a sunset sequence which was photographed between 19:50 and 21:20 on 25th May 2014, approaching high tide. On this occasion the subject was the changing scenario as the sunset matured, principally illustrated by the skyscape. These images were taken facing between W and NNE, with the sun mostly positioned to the left. The sunset occurred at 21:24 BST in the WNW direction, which coincided with the time for the final image in this set.
